Extracted from salmon milt in strict conditions in order to preserve the properties of this fundamental polymer.

ASPECT
Pink fibers, measuring several cm long.

SOLUBILITY
Fibers are relatively soluble in water, forming a stable pink gel at low concentrations (1.0 to 3.0 %).
Insoluble in alcohol, acetone, ether and other organic solvents.

OBLIGATORY PARAMETERS OF QUALITY
• Equality of nucleic bases: (A/T), (G/C), [(A+G)/(T+C)] ratios about 1,

• UV absorption, hyperchromicity: 30.0 to 50.0 %.
